Chai Root Beer Kombucha Float

 

Seeing as we don’t have much changing of the leaves down in St. Petersburg, Fla., we have to do what we can to make it a state of mind. So once again, our root beer kombucha returns. This time though, we changed things up and infused it with fall chai spices. It’s a love it or leave it situation here. Not everyone is a fan of root beer. We know that. But we always make what we enjoy! So if you’re like us and enjoy root beer, then this one’s for you.

Ingredients

⁃ St. Pete Ferments chai root beer kombucha

⁃ vegan ice cream

⁃ fall spices, your choice

Due to the acidity of the kombucha, you’ll need to use a vegan ice cream. I absolutely love our local vegan ice cream spot, Plant Love Ice Cream. They make all their ice cream bases out of organic coconut milk. Their toasted coconut flavor was perfect for this. Of course, you can use any flavor you like.

We finish things off with our fall spice mix, which consists of chaga, cinnamon, dried ginger, and a little nutmeg. Depending on your vegan ice cream base, you may still get a little bit of separation. And that’s okay. Just stir, sip, and it will be gone before you know it.
